Arda Görkem

Arda Görkem has been studying screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) since 2023.

Even before and during his studies, he gained extensive practical experience in the film industry. Among other things, he worked with director David Wnendt, where he was involved in street casting and served as an assistant director. For his work on the casting of the film SUN AND CONCRETE, he was part of the team that won the German Acting Award in the “Best Ensemble” category in 2023..

He gained his first experience in screenwriting in 2020 as part of a workshop organized by the Jünglinge. In 2021, he worked in the writers’ rooms for the second season of the series WIR and the seventh season of DRUCK.

In addition to his film work, Görkem is also active in theatre. At the P14 venue of the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, he develops his own projects as a writer and director. His theatre film OFF STAGE premiered there in 2024.
