

Thore Fahrenbach is a German screenwriter. He is currently studying ‘Creative Writing’ at the Hildesheim Institute of Literature and is pursuing a career in film and literature.
Fahrenbach gained his first professional experience in 2020 as a development assistant to director and screenwriter Felix Charin. In the same year, he co-wrote the feature film KRASS KLASSENFAHRT, produced by Leonine Studios. In 2022, he also co-wrote BLAUPAUSE, a short film about postnatal depression, directed by Philomena Petzenhammer.
Fahrenbach, together with his writing partner Levi Wessel, made it onto the shortlist for the 2024 German Young Screenwriters’ Award with the screenplay HANDLE WITH CARE. In the same year, he received a treatment grant from Nordmedia for his work on the series VON GUTEN MÄCHTEN, which explores power and abuse within the Evangelical Church. In 2026, his feature film project SPREU VOM WEIZEN was nominated for Best Pitch at the Sehnsüchte International Student Film Festival.
Alongside his work in film, Fahrenbach is also active in the literary scene. He is a co-founder of the Hildesheim reading circle ‘Irgendwie 248 Sachen’.
